28th Metz Open 2010
----------------------------------

GM Andrei Sokolov won the 28th Metz Open with 7/9 points. India's Arghyadip Das scored 6/9 points to finish at 10th place. Prasanna Rao and Latest GM elect Deep Sengupta finished with 5/9 points in 19th and 21st places respectively. Prasanna Rao earned around 20 elo points for his performance.

12th Dubai Open 2010

Grandmaster Eduardo Itturizaga of Venezuela won the 12th Dubai Open 2010 on best tiebreak score based on the average ratings of his opponents. He finished with 7/9 points with eight others.

Amongst Indians in the fray, R R Laxman, Abhijeet Gupta, M Shyam Sundar, S Arun Prasad and Ramnesh Bhuvanesh scored 6/9 points each while Negi, Sahaj Grover, M R Lalith Babu, D Harika, and S Satyapragyan ended with a tally of 5.5/9 points apiece.

Tejas Ravichandran rated 2165 earned his maiden IM norm, he had beaten 3 GM's and 2 IM's which earned him 58 Elo points.

3rd Kuala Lumpur Open Chess Championship 2010
----------------------------------

GM Hou Yifan was crowned champion of the Third Kuala Lumpur Open Chess Tournament 2010. She ended with 7.5/9 points, a performance of 2730.

India's Swapnil S Dhopade and Ashwin Jayaram finished sixth and ninth with 6.5/9 points, they earned 15 and 6 elo points respectively. Das Sayantan rated 2216 who had beaten three 2400 players and drawn two 2400 players finished with 5/9 points and earned around 33 elo points.

2nd Tata All India Open 2010

GM Neelotpal Das emerged champion of the 2nd Tata All India Open Chess Tournament which is being held after a gap of six years. IM Vikramaditya Kamble also tied for the first place with both players ending at 8.5/10 points. Neelotpal Das and Vikramaditya Kamble earned around 19 and 20 elo points respectively

Dubai International Blitz Tournament 2010

GM Pantsulaia Levan won the Dubai blitz with a score of 8/9 points.
Lalith Babu finished 9th and Venkatesh M R 12th both scored 6.0/9 points. Negi finished poorly with a score of 5.0/9 and ended up in 25th place.

North 24 PGS Chess Tournament 2010

Top seeded IM Himanshu Sharma won the North 24 PGS ChessTournament 2010. IM Suvrajit Saha also tied for the first place with both players ending at 9/10 points. IM's Himanshu Sharma and Suvrajit Saha earned around 11 and 19 elo points respectively

2010 O2C Doeberl Cup - Premier

GM Li Chao, the top-seed from China emerged as the clear Champion in Doeberl Cup 2010 scoring 7.5/9 Points.

GM Magesh Chandran from India stood 4th(Shared 3rd), India's Latest GM-elect Saptarshi Roy Chowdhury was ranked 6th(Again shared 3rd). Both scored 6.5/9. Veteran GM Dibyendu Barua was placed 7th scoring 6/9. Former Indian National Champion GM Abhijit Kunte scored scored 5.5/9 & finished with a modest 16th.

Top seeded Gata Kamsky 2702 won the Philadelphia Open with 7/9 points. India's Siddharth R finished modest 22nd with a score of 5.5/9 points.
